Award winning Bradford-born institutions The Sparrow bier café and Prashad Indian vegetarian restaurant are teaming up for two very special, exclusive beer and curry matching events.
Designed for beer connoisseurs and passionate foodies, these ticketed events will offer the opportunity to get a real education in some of the finest international food and drink Yorkshire has to offer in two very different settings.
First, The Sparrow will host an informal gathering of beer lovers with the chance to taste Prashad’s famous finger food and roadside snacks whilst enjoying a few pints of specially selected beers from around the world. The Sparrow’s owners, along with their suppliers and network of experts, will provide a combination of classic beers and more exclusive editions that are rarely available in the UK.
A few weeks later, ticket holders will take part in an extra special authentic Indian dining experience at Prashad’s new restaurant in Drighlington, where they will be served five courses of delicious vegetarian Gujarati-influenced tapas, along with tasters of hand-picked beers chosen to perfectly complement the food. Each course will come with expert commentary from a leading beer expert and Prashad’s passionate team. Far from being just for veggies, this event will take even the most committed carnivores on a journey of discovery through new tastes, textures and flavours – with Prashad’s guarantee that you won’t miss the meat!
· The Sparrow event: Sunday 24th March 2013. 6-10pm. £12 per person (includes three selected drinks and finger food served all night)
· Prashad event: Tuesday 9th April or Tuesday 16th April 2013. 7-10pm. (30 places at each), £25 per person (includes five courses of Indian vegetarian tapas-style dishes and six specially selected beers)
There are only 60 places available at each venue and tickets are expected to sell quickly so buy early to avoid disappointment. They will go on sale at both venues on Friday 1st March and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. You can call to reserve a ticket but it must be collected and paid for within 48 hours. You must keep your original tickets and present them on the door on the night of each event.
We hope to repeat this exciting collaboration again in the future so if you aren’t one of the lucky ones that gets a ticket, watch this space for future opportunities…
